Joe Leiwant is the founder and Managing Director of Dean Consulting, LLC.  Joe has a broad base of experience that includes valuation, management and securities analysis. Joe has led change management / turnaround assignments and held interim management positions at companies.  Joe’s primary focus at Dean Consulting is advising attorneys and/or expert witnesses in areas such as corporate and securities valuation, forensics and the development of other analyses for expert reports. 

 

Prior to founding Dean Consulting, Joe was a Director in the Morristown, NJ office of Duff & Phelps, LLC and part of the Dispute Consulting practice. He was a member of the firm’s Complex Valuation and Bankruptcy Litigation sub-practice where his work focused primarily on issues related to valuation and solvency.

 

Before joining Duff & Phelps, Joe was a securities analyst at Schottenfeld Associates, a New York based hedge fund with a focus on technology. Joe’s primary coverage areas at Schottenfeld Associates were Homeland Security and Defense, Telecom and Alternative Energy.

 

Joe received his M.B.A. with a concentration in finance and strategy from the Yale University School of Management.  He received his B.S. with a concentration in finance and marketing from The Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California.
